It was my one goal for last week. I'd do the regular household stuff, and if I ever paused to think what I should do next, I remembered "DESK!" and Saturday night/Sunday morning at 1:12 a.m., it was finished.
Pretty good, especially compared to my "before" (although this before pic doesn't do the mess justice)...
Yes, I have cleaned off my desk. I am very happy. Now that it is clean, all I have to do is maintain it. I'll report how it goes after 1 week of home management and life coming at me. I'm on Day 2 of having a clean desk, I'm doing budgeting right now, so there are papers on it, but I put things away when I'm done.
I'm finding or making a space for everything and it is great.
